EcoGrow Agriculture Ltd. was founded in response to the growing need for sustainable and climate-resilient agricultural solutions in Somalia. The country faces numerous challenges including food insecurity, land degradation, limited access to modern farming technologies, and the adverse impacts of climate change. Recognizing these issues, a group of Somali agricultural professionals and entrepreneurs came together with a shared vision: to develop an EcoGrow Agriculture (EGA) Ltd. that bridges the gap between traditional farming methods and modern, eco-friendly agricultural practices. EcoGrow Agriculture Ltd. EGA was officially established in March 2022 in Mogadishu, Somalia.
